Is this a complete kit or do I need to buy a cradle or other parts?

This is a complete kit that will come with the Docking Cable (usually preferred). If you wish to have the Active Cradle, let me know or make a comment in the "Comments/Notes" field upon checkout and we will exchange the Docking Cable for the Cradle.

Sorry for the dumb question, but what are the differences between docking cable / active cradle???? :dunno: which one to get.......

No differences other than other than physical appearance. The cradle will hold the iPod and requires a fixed mounting surface, while the docking cable simply plugs into the bottom of the iPod.
