Thanks for all the pictures. I have to agree that the cars look even better than the BMW pictures. I also like the look of the wheels. Thanks

Here is the X5 M and X6 M on ice in Sweden. I have not read it yet, so am not sure if the text is correct and reliable.

Thanks Sanguru and RBoosted717 for the sharp photos.
QUestion: I'm not seeing the paddle shifters in either the X5///M or X6///M interior shots (unless they're somehow obstructed by the steering wheel). Is that not a stock feature? Are we going to have to pay extra for paddles?

Yes both cars do have the ///M style paddle shifters as standard (played with them in both cars). I didn't take a picture since they're just like the M3.

Great pics...I still think the wheels look smaller and better choices could have been selected.

$86+K... may end up trying to figure out a what else falls into that category. I may keep the X5 4.8is and pick up an slightly used Aston Vantage V8. :(

I just saw the car I had been hoping for, a 4 door Lamborghini, in a magazine. One of the main reasons I have not bought an exotic is because they only seat 2, and I am used to driving SUV's. I was going to get a Murcielago LP640 back in December, but an unfortunate incident changed my mind. I am now currently split between 3:
1. BMW X5 M
2. Lamborghini 4 door (As long as it below $350k)
3. MB G55 AMG (Maybe Brabus) This car has a lot of status in Dubai.
If I get 1 or 3, I may get an M3, new M5, Audi R8, or possibly LP560 (I Hope).

Funny I'm in the same ballpark. I had a '00 3.0 (manual), '02 4.6is and currently have an '04 4.8is w/86k miles. I average around 17k highway miles a year and feel its about time to replace it before BMWs "deffered maintainance" kicks in.

Ideally I need an SUV to trailer my race car and/or something to cummute daily to work in. My options are to buy the X5 ///M or keep my current 4.8is and purchase a regular car for daily driving.

100k seems like a lot considering it see alot of abuse commuting to work. Maybe a 3yr lease is the best choice, yet thats still ~18-20k a year!
