All CB's will yellow over time. It depends on how *golden* your eyes are to notice these things . IMO, I am only doing clear bra these days if it's a track rat, and or a daily driver and I would only do it on certain areas.
For those that are are looking into CB, FWIW, there are pro's and cons to it IMO...and I would only do it if the car paint was under those conditions listed above. Otherwise, I would rather enjoy the paint .....and polishing required to see proper paint gloss/depth... |
Rocker panels must be done! These areas will be destroyed in no time especially on a daily driver.
|
Yep. Rocker panels just done. Also, just ordered new fender arches to replace the ones I had before. Will have the film installed over the entire arch. Will repair and re-coat the rocker panels.
As far as doing CB in general. I think it depends on where you live and how the roads are. Where I live there are a lot of coal trucks, and rock trucks. So, lots of loose debris. I will never own a vehicle in this area without a CB. Personal opinion. I deep polished, waxed and clayed the panels before application. |
Rockers no doubt....
I had my hood, headlights, mirrors, --- rear bumper...everything removed. BUT I left the CB on the rockers as that area def takes a beating. With that said....I think the only time I will go back to more CB on various body panels would be if it was a exotic. On a ~regular~ car, I'm more inclined to have hood, etc resprayed versus CB. Subjective opinions at the end of the day.... |
