I like how you debadged your X5M. Hahahaha! I was thinking about doing a "temporary debadge" of my M for a week or two, just to see what would happen. Hahahaha!

I feel sorry for the little sucker that pulls up next to you and wants to race. LOL!

Car looks great with the 215's. And nice job on the spacers. Definitely a must for all X5 owners that are running 20"+ wheels on their cars.

Perfect Marc!

215's with the spacers looks like it should, mean! =) I had the 15mm spacers as well on my 4.8 w/ the 215s. U need to get it lowered now for sure. Let the guys at IND take care of the alignment when they lower it.

Cool! Is the difference worth the time and effort? Hmm...

Also, what did you do with the OEM wheels? I want to get the X6M wheels on my X5M, but would have to buy them..bah

I like having a summer and winter wheel. You will save time in the long run instead of having to switch out tires on wheels. I really like the look of the 215 style. So it was worth it to me.

I use the OEM X5M for winter. I will have them powder coated to match the ferric gray color of the 215 style.

So where can I buy these spacers and would it cause me issues for taking it in for service?

Check earlier in the thread. Trips goes thru all of it. Fronts are H&R, rears are Rogue and you need longer bolts.

Should not be a problem at the dealer. Just got my oil changed and they never said anything. Should not void warranty has long as they cannot prove the spacer caused the problem.

Already an oil change - wow? What's your mileage - or was this a prophylactic one ?! ;)

Cheers,

5,000 miles. I did it around 2,000. Yes, prophylactic. Others recommended it and the car was already in getting the rear camera repaired.

Isn't there some early service needed for ///M models?

998M 03-18-2010 10:00 AM

Actually I am at 6,000 miles now. Yes, all M models (except X5M and X6M) get an oil change at 1,300 miles. Not sure why the X does not but I decided to pay to have it done. I beleive there are other who have done the same.
