The car is totally money in the 2012 form, so much so I want another one. Go ahead and order the 2012...you may find any new changes are not to your liking, then it's too late. Car is stable, fast, fun to drive and fantastic for every day driving. It's the best car I have ever owned bar none. Better than the 2008 550i sport we rolled out of and I thought that was amazing as well. Load it up and enjoy it. We are.

The manual has instructions for the break in period including: not to exceed 5000rpms or 105mph and to vary the speeds/rpm on highway driving. I asked here about the M button and the opinion was that it was okay as long as the other recomendations were followed.

:iagree:
Congrats! and post pics when you can.

I was going back and forth on this for a while too X5M vs. M5. Since M5 is going to be in its first year of production then I didn't want to risk it and wait a few years until the mid cycle freshening.

My solution to the X5M vs. M5 question came to this: 2013 X5M for a family car and whenever the mid cycle freshened M5 comes out, I will get it for myself (or maybe M6, since it may have 600hp and will be lighter than M5)
