X5m troubles
 

Anyone else have troubles with pipes breaking (oil return/turbo to intake). I have had a Dinan installed and had alot of issues with pipes breaking, black smoke from exhaust, and faults galore. Bmw is saying it is the dinan software. i have 38k on the car. think its time to unload?

Search the ///M Forum. I think it was LI-X5 had a turbo issue. Just read it the other day.

have dealer remove sofware (at theyre charge ofcourse) diagnose then fix prob (blown seals in turbo's) then reapply the tune (at theyre cost aswell) and go from there !

unfortuneltly these are only the beginnnings of you problems !!

This issue sucks!

It brings back memories to my beloved twin turbo 01 Audi S4...

But I really think all Turbo cars will ultimately have issues...be it seals, inlets etc

Just drive semi-sanely and let the turbos get to operating temps before WOT and adequate cool down to prevent "coking" of the oil lines.

Makes me wanna go back to a NA car

Both turbos needed replacing......couldn't bear the pain anymore.........

yeah this car is a nightmare to date. Any recommendations on the trade in? panamara, gtr, older m5?

LI- says you cant except private pm anymore. did you end up getting a new car? BMW is putting me through the ringer since i installed dinan...blaming dinan and no one will standup for the issues
