I commented on that truck a long time ago. I went to a Jeep dealer and asked about it, they are leaving the lot at $48,000 fully loaded! Also have an available 7yr/75k warranty.

My experience is that resale value on Jeeps is not all that great. Nice ride though.

Reviews have had the 0-60 anywhere from 4.7 to 5.7. Great bang for the buck, but reviews, such as the one here, http://info.detnews.com/autosconsume...x.cfm?id=21253, say that the price comes at sacrificing interior quality. "The cabin is very attractive, in a racetrack kind of way."

I'd bet it falls apart in two years. Buddy of mine had a Grand Cherokee a couple of years ago. Had it for a year and a half... nothing but problems. Door seals falling off, repaired and failed. Then totally replaced. Came off again. Major electrical problems in the dash. I wouldn't buy one.

LOOKS good though, sort of...

Saw one driving in L.A. about two months ago. Factory wheels look great on this Jeep but for about $50k with tax, etc. I dunno...

Eye candy! I had two jeeps before crossing over to BMW:
1996 and 1999 Grand Cherokee limited, both V8's. Initially I loved them both, had a GMC Jimmy before so the Jeep was a huge improvement. The 1996 wasn't too bad, small problems but the tranny was slipping when it went back with 60K miles. The '99, that's another story. It spent more time on a lift at the dealer than it did under my behind! I logged 132 days in service in less than 2 years. Mostly drivetrain related. Told Stealer I wanted out (lease) and wanted a new one. Stealer and Chrysler jerked me and refused to do anything. Long story short, wrote a letter to the Attorney General documenting everything, every work order. They not only got Chrysler to buy out my lease but got me 10K in damages. Hello BMW!

It's a shame but I will never buy another american car. :tsk:
