Let's collect, to send a couple of knucklehead posters in this thread,
off to another board for a few days, for them to see what unfounded
acrimony does for a community.

This Board's unwritten motto, imo, is
Live and Let Live.

If that doesn't make sense to BV and bx, than
maybe a little time spent reading threads or,
using some uncommon sense, would be enlightening
to both posters.

I vote for the Admin or Mod, to lock this thread down.

Threads like this are exactly why I shy away from some of the other, lesser boards. May I please respectfully urge you to thank the posters for their ideas and remove this thread? In the alternative, would you please consider moving this to the lounge or some other suitable side board?

I do have an X3 - bought it last Thursday in San Diego.
Why would I have started freaking out if I didn't have one?

It's black on black with letherette and no sports package - just a stripped down girlie mobile.

I also can't stand that when I'm driving I can't see the BMW logo on the front.
You buy an expensive luxury car and it's nice to look down once in a while and see the logo.

Like I have lots of Polo shirts and sweaters and I like to look down and see the logo and then I know other people are seeing the logo and thinking I have good taste and can afford luxury things.

Truth is, I couldn't afford the X5 - but nobody knows that except you guys.

So now, my X3 is just an outward symbol of my failure.

Well, at least I can see a quite big BMW logo in my steering wheel.......:thumbup:

I am sorry about my tiny sense of humor. However, I must comment that I bought my car for driving and for myself, not due to any status issues......

I do like the car a lot but I can tell that people are looking at me like I don't belong in the car.
I'm a pretty fit, masculine guy and when I step out of my car people think "what's he doing in that?"
I thought I was buying a "status" car but I think I've downgraded myself.

When I drive around in my X3 I think everyone's pointing at me and thinking "he thinks he's cool but he doesn't even know how loser and he is."

I love BMWs but I think that maybe if I can't afford the best one I shouldn't drive one at all.
