What I do have wondered is that when you roll and slow down let's say for stop sign, and do the lazy stop without don't stop completely, then quickly press the acc pedal to move on, the tranny engages in a bit harsh way. It's as if it had disengaged the gear and then all of the sudden realizes that we're going again....

I feel this too. What I believe it is, is the tranny normally wants to start you off in second gear if you don't come to a complete stop. However, if you push the pedal down hard enough, the tranny downshifts to first and this is what you are feeling...

Funny...when I saw the title of this thread, I was going to respond that the clutch can be a little bit stiff when shifting from first to second and you have to just get used to it over time. And then I rememberd that most people here have automatic trannys.

No I'm sorry I don't. I called and asked if there was a bulletin or code, X5Jay was having the same problem. I got no where. In girlie terms, just tell them to plug it in and the good ol 'puter will tell them if you need the upgrade. On a positive note, not only did the bang go away, but she is much more responsive now, especially off the line. Shifts alot better in the lower gears.
