$600 to replace a passenger cupholder??? How much does BMW want for that part? I think it just pops out so the labor charge should be minimal - or just do it yourself. You might have to pop out the air vent first. I think it overlaps the top of the cupholder.
There *might* be a screw securing the back of the cupholder to the body, but even that shouldn't add too much to the labor. At worst you would have to remove the glovebox. Edit: OK, I see the 600 isn't dollars but in sweedish currency after the exchange rate. |

Thanks for the replies. I am sad to say I live in Sweden, when it comes to ridiculous priced car parts. The part itself is maybe $120 and definitely a simple DIY for me. Will see if it is glue-able, the broken plastic is a very thin part.
