WOW....and he was not wearing a belt and still walked away? He needs to play the lotto.

Ouch! That hurts. Those 132s are badly damaged.

apetrov1x5 01-17-2006 11:18 AM

imho he only walked away because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. otherwise he would be smashed like the left side of the vechicle.
p.s. is he saying the left front door iss still opening?

Trust me, not true. He would have been shoved a bit over to the right, but not harmed nearly as much as you imagine, had he been wearing the seatbelt.

My own major crash 4 years ago left my vehicle looking not a whole lot better than this, and I thank God I was wearing my seatbelt (and had airbags, and was driving a German car).

I have seen many dead people, and those nearly dead, from being ejected from the vehicle. It isn't a pretty sight.

You have a 40% higher chance of living while wearing a seatbelt than not wearing it.

Did you sustain any injuries?

Good o'le steel and engineering.:) Glad your friend was ok. At least i feel safer now going 120mph  Since a lot of members are interested in the salvageable parts, just wanted to know if he'll decide to sell the aluminum running boards if their still ok.
