Rotora Break Kit for E53 - 4.8is (Rotors/Pads/etc)
Hey Guys,
I found a break kit for the 4.8is - similar to BREMBO. I have choice of rotor sizes which the rep said will fit the stock wheels on the car. (20 Inch). Which package should I go with: SETUP #1: Front 6-piston/355x35mm (drilled) Rear 4-piston/355x32mm (drilled) SETUP #2: Front forged 6pot/380x35mm 2-piece float type disc system (drilled) Rear forged 4pot/380x32mm 2-piece float type disc system (drilled) The price difference between the two systems is $900 bucks.. So if any of you know your stuff about breaks please let me know which setup I should go with.. #1 ? or #2? Do you guys think setup #2 will fit on the Rims?? the rep is saying yes but I am wondering.... Its just $900 difference between the two.. Please any advice?? |

Always go with the best tyres/brakes you can afford.
That being said, the two piece rotors will not only be expensive now - but be more expensive to replace going forward also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have bent too many rotors because of water on the road, so I am using the cheapest stuff now:) |
well for one, make sure you get good BRAKES not BREAKS.
2-piece rotors and multi-piston calipers are great for race cars that are frequently on the brakes and need consistency without overheating, but on a street vehicle they are nothing but bling. So get whatever you want. It makes no difference from a performance standpoint |
Whatever you decide to do, I'll buy your IS brakes for pesos.
