Hello, my name is Nat.
I live in Northern Va i just recently acquired a 2004 BMW X5 with the monstrosity inside the engine bay.
I look forward and learning a few things from all of you forum members..

Awesome!! What shape is the truck in, generally?? What's the history on the car, where's it from, etc? Any maintenance records? Sorry for all the Q's, but I like knowing it all... :D

Welcome to the family of 4.8is owners. There are a few of V8 owners in the area. Many meet up at either at Katie's in Great Falls on Saturday early mornings or at Kohl's at Fair Lakes. I am live and work in N. Arlington if you are ever in the area stop by for coffee and a chat about our favorite brand of vehicles. Most weekends you can find a few of us "bending a wrench" or two on maintenance or updates, so watching & learning is always great male bonding. :bustingup

Do you plan on a DIY path for repairs or a pay as you go path with a dealer or BMW Indy?

I think all the 4.8is have the flares front and rear as part of the package.
