I don't know how that works for you since your tax is less than CA.

Amazing these guys selling cars don't know there business. This is not true. California will not charge you sales tax on a vehicle purchased if you are driving it out of state. They can't:). What you will need is a trip permit and insurance. The trip permit is obtained at the dmv and the dealer should have this waiting for you when you arrive.

Congrats man!!!
This will be very exciting for you.

Great deal for an 06 Dinan iS at that mileage.
Congrats!

P.S: You make me consider keeping mine.

Thanks Josh. Hardly "ballin" status, but I am pretty stoked about it. :)

Thanks. I'm hoping it will be more epic awesome than epic fail... lol. I'll document it all either way through plenty of pics and video. http://www.xoutpost.com/images/smilies/thumbup.gif

Thanks. That's what my buddy keeps telling me to reassure me since I'm still nervous about buying a car sight unseen. I think it was a pretty good deal so long as there isn't something majorly wrong with it. *fingers crossed*

Very nice X you have there. Looked through the pics in the thread in your sig.

Just out of couriousity, anyone seeing any of my post's?

Ricky Bobby 08-11-2015 10:52 AM

I think you made a good choice. With the low miles and being the "youngest" of the E53's I think it will end up helping you more than anything. Was it a CA car its whole life as well?

Only thing I notice is a couple nicks on the 168's, the RB's could be polished up/cleaned up, and the center caps arent stock on the 168's, other than that it is looking good from the pics given.

Subscribed and excited for you man! What is gonna happen with the 4.4?

Helihover 08-11-2015 11:28 AM

I guess that's a no:)

Yeepeee. Thanks!

Thanks for the positivity. I think it's a solid car/deal. The car was a Utah car until 2013 and then became a Cali car.

Yeah, saw the damage on the wheels and wasn't too concerned with that. They will be changed for some reps like the ones on my 4.4i. Will probably restore the 168's and keep them for originality. Why do they have Beyern center caps on them though? I thought maybe they were reps.

The 4.4i has been sold to my brother in law. Saves me a ton of work, but I will have to do another Avin install on the 4.8is. That was a ton of work. Will go a lot faster though not having to document everything for a DIY. I sold it to him for what I paid for it and I drove it for a bit over a year... and put on 11,000 miles. Soooo not the best financial decision ever, but not the worst either. Still a lot cheaper than paying a car payment on a new car.

I'd say a Dinan 4.8is is pretty ballin. I'd be stoked too! I am stoked for you. That looks like a really nice example. Lets hope it really is as great as it looks. I look forward to reading about your trip.
