Glad I stumbled upon this thread. I'm approaching my next oil change and I'll give this product a try. I too have some blue smoke after idling for a while; I noticed that especially in hot weather.

I tried heavier oils etc, nothing helped.
I'll try Rotella and this additive; hopefully something good will happen lol

I been using Castrol advance performance with Titanium and no smoke here,I been running this for years .

Gonna have to get the valve seals done at some point. The valve seal material that BMW used on these N62 engines was inferior to the pre-v8 N62 valve seal materials and the replacement valve seals. Once you replace your original valve seals you will not have this problem again.
