They are indeed dipped, I did a couple different versions, straight black then I tweaked them a bit by dusting them with a light metallicbronze coat of regular spray paint over the dip. Now I am back to stock silver LOL.

Andy, the truck looks amazing! I still have the X5 Bentley manual if you need it.
