Window Trim discoloration

I just tried the Meguiars #9 swirl remover on my window trim and it does absolutely nothing. Has anyone tried the other products recommended?

Thanks, drs

Here's an X5world article and thread about this issue.

x5Monkey recommends CarBrite Power Pak.

Good luck.

Hey, I use meguires #9 too, just used some yesterday because I was trying to remove some scratches on my side mirrors, it worked well for that. As for the window trim, I am able to remove the discoloration, but if you wet it again with water it reappears. Did you use a machine? I want to try that next, I did mine by hand.

I use the Mothers Back to Black on all my 'black' parts it does a great job take off the oxidation, etc on the trim pieces...might have to use it a couple times to see a difference. I also use it on the interior..and OMG it looks great on everything really brings the blacks back to life.

It's Good stuff Manard!!! :)

:iagree: I'm with you on this, although A LOT of people told me I'm nuts when I previously praised the Mother's for the trim. All I can say is, it works for me.

don't use back to black on those pieces, just put a heavy coat of wax on them.
