I said I agree, it's not the best for off road, but still cool, and still doesn't change the fact that it is capable. Maybe not for the most hard core shit out there.

You may have missed a few threads over the years. Let me help you out there.

Or wait, how about this build we have right here on Xoutpost

http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...53-3-0l-2.html

Some people have a pair big enough to try new shit, some don't.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy my X, and the OPs pic is very nice.

I am not saying it is impossible to make it capable off-road, but as others have mentioned, that's not what is was built for.....and that's a good thing.

I bought the X because of its on-road performance, IMO, it's a high-performance crossover. I have a 4Runner and and H1....both very differant and both very good off-road, as that's what they were built for. (But both slow and neither would I consider great while on-road.)

I think the X platform would be a losing battle (money wise) to convert it to a true off-road vehicle. Again, not saying it can't be done, but it's awd system is meant for performance as well as improved traction/handling on wet/snowy roads.

I don't think it comes to "having a big pair to try new shit." Just comes to common sense...adding bigger tires, a lift, and off-road lights make it look like an off-road vehicle, but those are minor items compared to the items that are really needed....

I like my truck, it gets dirty, i see alot jeeps with lift kits and huge tires and off road lights, I'm jealous of how clean they are! Just different strokes.

Looks awesome! What are the specs on your wheel tire combo? Thanks in advance..

petebmwm 01-28-2016 07:26 PM

e39 style 42 wheels, 20mm spacers and i'll have to look at the size for the tires for you.
