As any car guy will tell you it is your job to pick up, clean up, repair, and take care of ANYTHING that can be attached to, carried to, or used in any car that is driven or ridden in by others in the family. You see it coming, they do not. You vacuum and detail therefore it is "your job" to find the phone, ear bud, nail file, wedding ring, house keys, whole purse, or anything else that was taken to the car at some point in time and is now "lost".
I personally have "found" the lost items supposedly left it at the store or lost" including Driver's license, company ID, Bus Card cases, ear buds (3x) too many pens to count, items to be exchanged/returned at the store, dry cleaning, and the best was a old family photo in a frame 8X10 (don't ask) under a front seat. I have come to the conclusion that some people drop things and we get to "find" them. Hell, some women loose everything that is at the bottom of a small purse......:bustingup Some guys can not find their way around their cars or their way home without a GPS. Next time at work mention you enjoy ultimate car detailing and watch the blank expressions. :dunno: I am sure we all can add to this list..... |

When I first bought my X it only had 1 key. I bought a set of 2 blanks with chip on ebay and had a locksmith code and cut them both for $100 and ended up with 3 working keys.
I have a whole lot of stuff in a storage shed while we are building a house and I was climbing over things to get something and when I went to lock up the storage unit I discovered my keyring had come apart (was partly hanging out of my pocket) and the X key and my wife's E87 key were missing and had fallen off somewhere in the storage unit. I pulled out a whole lot of stuff and checked any box/container that they could have dropped in, but couldn't find them. Had to call my wife to bring spare key. I was very grateful to still have 2 keys. Only problem now is the spare for the E87 is still missing and that would expensive to replace (in dash - start/stop button on dash). Hopefully when I move stuff out of storage I will find both keys. |
