Can Seafoam in gas CAUSE trim error code?

A new MAF cleared my nagging P1093 error months ago.

As a treat I threw in a can of Seafoam in my gas tank and error P1093 came back (3 times after clearing it). I just re-filled the gas tank, it was 1/4 with the seafoam mix and just got a "pending code" P1093
My trim figures seem perfect - bank 1 and bank 2 - long at about 3% (+/- 1), and short terms about 3 (+/- 3). Before the new MAF I was getting trim figures as high as 10.
I have never used any gas additives before, can Seafoam mess up O2 sensor readings??

thanks

I have read posts that go both ways. I stay away from all fuel additives except Techron. I suggest running the tank low and filling it with a fuel that has Techron in it or adding a bottle to full tank. If it is carbon on 02 sensor(s) it might clean it off.

Are you using premium gas in the X? I read about another X owner changing gas station and his error code went away. Unless you are stuck in the middle of nowhere and there's only one gas station in your area, I would try another station.

Lucas Oil makes a great additive. +1 on the Premium only.

I personally don't care for seafoam as I have seen to many people have issue using it and I only use techron as an additive if I ever use one.

With the pure techron bottle (not an issue just buying gas with techron in it) I always change the filter if its the first time. I have had it clog up a filter way to many times since it breaks so much loose in the fuel system most of the time.

I have used Techron in the past and have recently been using Berryman B12 with good results and no throwing of codes associated with its use.

I've used seafoam on multiple BMWs but never had issue with CEL.
Have you try to clean ICV and DISA?

Have used it multiple times on several vehicles, no issues. Yes, code up front, but clears once the smoke show is over.
Does it help? It can at times. Will not fix a real mechanical issue, but if there is some buildup, possible. For me, I just keep my injectors clean, run good gas, short fluid intervals, and if something breaks like a trans or engine, yank the thing and rebuild it.
