Can Seafoam in gas CAUSE trim error code?
A new MAF cleared my nagging P1093 error months ago.
As a treat I threw in a can of Seafoam in my gas tank and error P1093 came back (3 times after clearing it). I just re-filled the gas tank, it was 1/4 with the seafoam mix and just got a "pending code" P1093
My trim figures seem perfect - bank 1 and bank 2 - long at about 3% (+/- 1), and short terms about 3 (+/- 3). Before the new MAF I was getting trim figures as high as 10.
I have never used any gas additives before, can Seafoam mess up O2 sensor readings??
thanks
