That looks very similar to the one I bought off FleaBay from the vendor Supercrazy. It did the job effortlessly on the right side but struggled to get the flat edged cup flush on the left side so had to grind a little more of the flat edge. After that everything went in perfectly. I did not have to heat or freeze anything but others have taken that route. No right way or wrong way, just that it gets pressed in correctly. :thumbup:

What would cause a difference on one side to the other?

The carrier is cast aluminium part so there might be slight differences on those edges which are not machined where the side of the tool touches.
