MY lugs are 17mm. Maybe someone swapped in some non-OEM lugs?

Easy, way to find out what came with the X, just look at the lug wrench that came with the X.

Locking studs wouldn't have come on the vehicle from the factory...so the fact that your locking studs are not the same as the others means that a previous owner installed them and purchased 17mm locking studs.

again, if you go to the part database and input your VIN...then pull up the diagram of your wheel style...it wil be listed in the supplemental column the size of your lug bolt...make sure you look in the TO and FROM (build date columns if there are two sizes listed).

Or as upallnight mentioned in the post above... your lug wrench will be your guide. BMW wouldn't have installed 17mm lug bolts and give you a 19mm lug wrench. :)

Be Thankful, in my neck of the wood they would have stolen the entire car, and given you a couple of lead slugs as a keepsake.

I believed he (Crowz) was joking about the stolen spare as some E70s don't come equipped with spares - wave of the future, sadly

Yep.

Then there are all those other cool features.

Electric water pump that fails without warning and leaves you stranded instantly.

Claymore Airbags (patent pending).

Ahh the future is just soooo bright, well if the airbags don't blind you for life.
