21mm socket get stuck tightening lug bolt
Is there a special socket that will not get stuck tightening the lug bolt? I've tried impact and regular socket and they stuck when tightening. I have stock wheels and was wondering if I have some aftermarket lug bolts.

So are Mine. The soccer mom minivan has 21mm lug nuts. |
well I'm an idiot... it's actually a 19mm.. luckily I didn't test drive it too because I forgot to install the ABS sensor on the spindle.. that's the problem when you run out of daylight and working out of the garage in the cold..

LOL. But wouldn't the socket just spin on the bolt...unless we're just talking the OD vs. thinwall, and you're getting stuck cause it's too fat. Regardless, get urself a wheel socket set which should just be a set of thinwalls

Weird all of my bmw's have 17mm lug bolts.
Well I haven't tried my e70 but my E53 and other bmw's have 17mm lug bolts. |

If you pull up the diagrams for the e53...the example below for the Style 153 wheels that came on my 06...you can see that up to 12/2005 build date (which includes me)...the part nbr for bolt (#4) is a 19mm bolt (part # 36 13 6 756 298)...then after the 12/2005 build date...it went back to a 17mm bolt (part # 36 13 6 781 153). |
