You are correct I misread. I thought he said it did not do the dance. Pretty clear that the 05 has the adaptive headlights and the O2 has the basics self level

No model, model year, build date, or type of headlights (halogen, xenon, or adaptive bi-xenon)...so no one knows what you have or any way of knowing how to respond.

Have you considered creating a signature that includes vehicle info? It helps the forum to help you better...as well as members that run across your posts in the future if searching & run across your posts. They will know if your replies, suggestions, questions, solutions apply to their situation when there's differences based on where the vehicle falls in the production range or option availability. :)

Well, I was more subscribing and thinking of seeing what others have as possible solutions.
That said, I have an 04 4.8iS.

An 04 4.8is with a 10/03-up build date should have adaptive bi-xenons headlights. What issues are you having? Illumination, up/down leveling, or left/right movement in curves turns?

i have 03 4.4 sports package, and i was told it has adaptive headlights, but i only notice it adjust upon cold startup. it doesn't adjust anymore after that. :dunno:

You may have xenon lights...but adaptive bi-xenon headlights weren't offered on the e53 until the facelift (10/03-up build date). But if you think you have them...go back to post #8 in this thread where I posted the option code numbers for xenon & adaptive bi-xenon headlights along with a link to a BMW VIN decoder site...you can look your build sheet up and see if you have the adaptive headlight option code. :)

Didn't know they were that different.
Light is fine. Level sensors are intact yet that doesn't work. I don't recall them cycling on startup, and I for sure they don't peek left and right.
Unless I just haven't noticed.
I have a constant error when I run codes, I'll have to look what they are again.
I think I disabled the adaptive feature when messing with PA soft recently tho.
