Is E53 vanishing ?

I have a few , 7 to be exact, lol , BMW X5 , (some for parts) ,4.4i and 3.0i .

Even have one with 5sp manual . But I don't see many of them on the road anymore .
Is there some kind of e53 club in Sacramento area ? I would want to connect to e53 owners in Sacramento CA area and Rochester Buffalo Syracuse NY area , I'm here and there

I live in southeast wi but drive in Chicago area a lot. I can't drive a single drive without seeing x5 on the road. On occasion only e70 but most often also e53.

Seems you *are* an e53 club

There are plenty in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I'm sure the lack of winter road salt is a key factor though. I can't believe the amount of chassis corrosion the Northern X5 vehicles seem to experience based on member photos.

2002 X5 3.0 347,000 miles
2014 428i 39,000 miles

2004 325i sold at 123,600 miles
2001 325i sold at 66,000 miles

Lot's of them here in the bay area.

I wouldn't say they are vanishing but at 10 or more years old and the number of miles on many of them the rate of attrition should has significantly increased in the last few years. I wouldn't keep one expecting rarity will cause appreciation.

Hah! Funny guy. :D Trying to make me spit out my morning coffee?

But no seriously, there are probably at least 5 there at any decent sized/reputable independent.

I see plenty of them running around San Antonio still. Usually of the straight 6 variety, but every now and then a V8.

I’m still seeing E53s in and around the Tulsa area. Go back 15-10 years ago they seemed to be the official vehicle of choice of the upscale South Tulsa housewife so there’s lot of handmedowns I suspect.
