Best results so far 800 wet sand paper then menzerna course compound!!! With the oscillating tool!!!

Whoosie. I totally misread it. I was thinking pillar post.

I have chrome shadow so to be frank, I'm not familiar with the trim you speak.

I should not presume, but logically it would have come clearcoated from the factory. Alum oxidizes quick. By sanding it, the CC is dunzo. Even with the best coatings/sealants, that alum. IMO will oxidize in the elements, unless you never plan to drive it ever once you have it cleaned.

At this point, metal polish is the way to go. The bigger ? is how do you plan to protect it once you're done...

Not really, it’s pretty easy now that I have the right combination down could probably do the hole car in an hour or hour and a half

U gut that rubber where the d pillar is.....where u cant get agressive metal to rubber. Different POV
