No, I´m not the first owner. I bought it with 210k km. Should be 130k miles.
The IS is quite rare, yes. I own it for 2 or 3 years and I have seen maybe 3 of it. The gas price here is 1,5€/L-->6,4$/per gallone. Maybe that´s a reason why ;) Already repaired was the valve steams with all gasket which came off to the job, Gasket at the Alternator, Xdrive, Front bearings at the wheels, their driveshafts, Air compressor, air struts, brakes complete front and rear. |

I'm at 248,900km (154659miles)
Its currently due for dreaded alternator seal and the valve seal right now. I don't know if I want to keep the 4.8IS or fix it or sell it (I do have the parts for the alternator seal, but not for the valve seal). But every time I looked at other suv's, I keep looking at the other e53's.... Maybe, I should just fix it by myself and be happy with it...... |
