Getting close to the half way mark. The figures on test 6 seem to be jumping up and down as i go over bumps, holes, etc. It seems to be still high on the left (48L, etc) as the right gets down to 4.5 or 6L. I will post up a screen shot soon.

Right should settle about 014 when left is about 275. If the right drops to 000 siphon jet not working

Can it pop under 014 and back up. I have had it close but had to put some gas in as I needed to be somewhere in a hurry. When the right got down to 2 or 3L it sometimes dropped down to below 1.0 then back up. Will be heading to the crucial mark again soon.

It will bounce all over. At the flood level it will rest about 014 but easily swing from 000 to 030 taking corners.
You can take a firm right turn the level should drop a bunch then climb right back to you steady state level eg 014. Going up or down a long steady hill will have a different level say 016 up and 011 going down. (guesses but the float is toward the back) The important thing is that on level ground the right side stays at the flood stage. If it ever drops to 00x get fuel immediately. You have less than a gallon of fuel to operate the car but the fuel pump will push more than you consume over to the left tank. It won't last long. |
fuel level testpoint 6 at 0.00L

Pulled over and ran idle for a while at right side level at 0.00. Photo below. Then drove off and it popped up to over 3.0L. Getting close to where I ran out on the highway. Want to see if the reset worked so I will go for a drive later. If I have the issue again then it must be another problem with the siphon system. Interesting that the old sender unit o-ring looked good in place. It was certainly harder for sure.

update....past the first mark. test 6 shows 0.0L most of the time in right tank. Left tank seems to be going down ok. Next mark the quarter tank.

41/0 is an impossible combination.
Didn't you say you have been driving with the right hovering around 1.5? Once the right gets to zero the left will be about 27L. The symptoms are your left sender is sending the wrong value. (too high). That is what happened to me when I ran out of gas with 3/8 of a tank on the gauge. |

It does seem strange. The left is now down to 35.1 and you can see the needle has moved a bit more. When watching I notice the right occasionally pop up to various values. I am wondering if the right sender is playing up. I had a new fuel pump put in but I dont know if they replaced the sender or only just the little pump. Anyway, I guess I will find out at as you said at the 1/4 mark or 3/8 mark.

So, ran out at 31.5L in left tank. When I did the reset on test 21 the engine was running and there was a momentary pause in running. I am wondering if the reset worked now. Anyhow, further investigation continuing. Need to see how my NT520 works too.

oh, I will check the electrical connection at the top of the sending unit too.
