I doubt you’d be able to see what was going on using the tiny built-in screen on the scanner. Diagnostic tools sometimes allow you to export the recorded data as a .csv file (or similar) so that you can open it in Excel, etc. and do all the graphing on a monitor or laptop screen. I have no idea if that particular scanner has that capability, I’m afraid.
What you’re after is the transmission input speed signal and the engine speed signal, which gives you the torque converter speed ratio, and then you see how this changes as the EDS4 solenoid current is applied. I suspect in your case that the speed ratio isn’t changing and the torque converter is always ‘open’. This wastes fuel and heats up the transmission fluid.
