Poor radio reception
So I have poor radio reception on a lot of channels that sound fine in my E60.
This isn't a new issue, just one I am finally getting around to. Any ideas? |
Depending on your model/year/engine/radio spec, there is a powered antenna amp in the rear - maybe the fuse has gone?

I tried looking and can't find the post (operator headspace and timing on my part) but I am pretty sure there was a posting about RF interference dealing with the GPS or key fob antenna getting bleed over that could be an issue also. I would hope this jogs somebody's memory and they can help you you out.[emoji1696]

I think the post was that the rear window demister interfered with reception (when it is switched on) - only fix was to replace rear hatch glass… :(

That does sound like what I was thinking, well crap! I am obviously getting dementia [emoji1787]

I believe a failing diversity amp can affect radio reception, though not positive.
Does the rear window grid work in anyway with the key fob? Perhaps as an antenna? How could RF interfere when the car is off? I think my fob range has degraded & it’s not the battery in the key... looking forward to hearing back. thanks guys. |
