Every "developed" nation has some level of this sort of nannying going on... NZ isn't much better or worse than other places. Some of our vehicle law is based on past bad experience - i.e. poorly constructed or incorrectly fitted wheel spacers on badly driven vehicles have been cited as the cause of accidents causing serious injury or death, so un-certified wheel spacers are banned.
Just another case of knee-jerk legislation…. :rolleyes:
Question to those that have spacers - given the E53 rear camber setup (a small negative camber) does increasing the rear track with spacers increase the wear rate on the inner edge of the rear tyre?
