What Could Go Wrong?!

I am working to mount this rear view cam. Pics attached for my plans. Have never drilled a hole in a car before. Scratch mark where I’m planning to drill. Just under trim for reverse lights and the button for hatch. Only way I can see running the wires?? :(

Don't drill holes...

Placement of backup cameras is usually done by replacing one of the license plate lights.

Also your photos are not showing it's only showing a broken link. (for me at least)

I have one that fits in the licence plate light location, it just needed to be bonded in.

Your new licence plate light with camera will use an LED. The car will give a bulb out warning because of less resistance. You can fix this by installing a resistor or code out the bulb out warning for the licence plate lights with NCS Expert.

NCS Expert

Sounds good in the code. I see many different purchase options for cable and software for NCS expert. Huge price differences... any links to what I should purchase or threads I should read?

No holes.. I have no idea how to run the cables from the license plate lights. Any suggestions? The hole for the power and the hatch switch is too small to fit additional wires, if I drill directly through I could fit them..?? I see no other option.

The camera I have “supposedly” fits the light for license. See pics... just needs some finesse?

Bonded in? Soldered?
