Shipping advice

Need to ship the X5 from Grand Rapids,Mi to Columbus, Oh, anyone have experience with either local in Michigan or national shippers for that relatively short distance?

I have used Montway a number of times and always had great success. I also find them to be very reasonably priced as well.

I used a uhaul truck to tow mine a similar distance. Was $65 for the trailer and $25 insurance. I used a one-way truck and needed my X5 for the return trip. Was easier to bring my car with than figure out a bus etc solution

Agreed. Used Montway in June sending vehicle from TN to VA. They were able to pickup the same day with a last min schedule on my part. Driver picked up car 5pm Sat got it 7am Sun AM.

Very pleased.

I’ve used Montway a dozen times. Great experience with them.

Thanks so much, I've not heard of Montway but it appears all of you have had some great experiences with them, so I'll give them a try. Gonna pick up an RV and bring it home, but it won't tow the X5 or a trailer so having the X5 brought back with no miles added is a bonus.

Sounds like fun! Enjoy the home away from home and keep us posted on how everything goes

Post some pics of the RV when you get back, my wife has been "nagging" me for a home away from home  (Though she absolutely hates to travel...)

Looking forward to it, we just don’t feel comfortable flying right now, so gonna take the plunge and get a class B with MB Sprinter chassis, diesel, which will be a new experience as well. Turns out I’m not alone, motor home sales have skyrocketed, that’s why had a hard time finding what I needed and had to go out of state. Will post a pic if it all goes as planned.

Just rent a car one way and drop it off once you get the motorhome. No mileage added to the X and you don't need to worry about towing a car.

That’s actually a good idea - heck, I’d rent myself something badass and enjoy the heck out of the drive down. Would definitely be less costly than shipping and would also avoid any unintentional damage potential to the X. I mean... shit does happen, that’s why we made the bumper sticker...
