Not to spark a polemic here but I have roughly been following his recommendations on the E70 board and his general comment has been minimal toe-in, just above 0.0.

I usually ask for 1 degree camber. The wear on the rears seems to be mostly from toe-in but I think the more camber at a given toe-in, the more you are asking from the tire.

Having said that, on my e53 I never did an alignment from 2006 thru last spring and I did not have any issues with wear on the inner shoulders. So, seems less critical than on the E70 where a shop last summer seems to have made a mistake and my left rear is very bald looking on the inner shoulder. Just from looking at it, I could see the numbers were too high. I had the E70 alignment redone at S2 Dynamics and now all looks well again.
