My car did show livence plate light errors with LCM III
I installed LCM IV with auto LWR
Now I also have a LWR module in the car.
Should I code it out via ZCS?

If you have xenons follow post #7 for which parameter to adjust if needed in your LCMs .trc file.

According to vin decoder I have
S522 Xenon Light

So I turned off manual vertical headlight control.

Not sure if anything needs to be changed for automatic / dynamic aim control?

With the latest LCM, do LWR and LWS modules do anything at all?
Can they be coded out?

If your vehicle is originally with separate LWR module code the module just according to ZCS. No manual changes needed. If you try to make it work like newer models without LWR module naturally you would have to change the wiring from LWR to LCM.

You mean like re-run wires from LRW connector to LCM?
Definitely not doing that, looks like too much work! :) Especially if nothing is really gonna change.
When I installed the latest LCM IV with auto LWR I coded it to my ZCS.
If I understand correctly, there's no point in putting a LCM with LWR option if LWR module already exists in the car.
In this case there would be no difference in installing LCM IV with or without LWR option.
Please correct if I didn't understand correctly.

I was doing some coding work and realized that LWR module won't get coded, throws an error.

I wonder if it's a problem with a module itself, light switch or something else?
I did add a relay to the light switch for remote starter lights. I can't imagine this would do anything?

Another thing I noticed, when I turn on lights with the light switch, static noise in the car gets really loud.

I'm not sure what's going on, if the lights are somehow interfering with aftermarket audio system...
This happens even with head unit it disconnected from power.

What I found from Google.

COAPI-2020: no answer from ECU – You are trying to communicate with a module that is not installed or dead.

So I was getting this potentiometer error that was driving me crazy
https://i.ibb.co/FnwjWdh/20220219-020955.jpg

I finally realized how things work lol.

I installed an LCM IV module with auto LWR. This was maybe my mistake.
My car already has LWR module.
So what I did to get rid of the error.
I installed another LCM instead, LCM IV without LWR

Things got better
Stupid potentiometer error went away but I got a bunch of shadow errors.
https://i.ibb.co/gFgVj6f/20220220-213248.jpg

Also my dash started displaying errors such as:
- check side lights
- self level susp inactive
- check rear lights
- check licplate light

I didn't have these errors before I changed LCM

Now I guess I should've saved my settings in ncsexpert but I forgot.

I decided to code zcs from EWS module to my newly installed light module
Finally all the shadow errors went away and my cluster stopped displaying the errors

But the stupid potentiometer error came back

So I read LCM with NCSExprert and edited the file with ncsdummy, disabling the option pointed out in post #7 of this thread, i.e. Manual vertical headlight aim control (LWR)

Now all errors are fixed

Question for NCSExprerts

When I was coding the LCM module
It reads version 19 in the NCSExprert, however it's actually version 24 in ncsdummy
Just wondering why it's like this
