All fun and games until you try to reset the transfer case clutches after a transfer case fluid change. You will come up short with the BMW Scanner 1.4 and INPA.

I have INPA, BMW Scanner 1.4, Foxwell NT-510 and OBD Fusion for my phone. Each of these will provide a function the others will not.

You will never have full access without several of these. I am in under $200 for all of them with programming cables and should be in every DIY toolbox for working on our older BMW cars. :thumbup:

And the same goes for hand tools for these cars - not one set of any tool type will have everything you need. I've bought more tools since owning this car than during the ownership of other cars during the previous 30 years....
