X5 at Pick'N Pull - how to move the power seat?

Could someone tell me which pins to apply power to on 2003 X5 4.4 with Sports Package?

The car is at Pick'N Pull and I would like to get the seats, but I can't get to the rear bolt. I am thinking of bringing a small 12V battery but I am not sure to which pin to connect to. The power module on the side of the seat is gone.

Thank you in advance!

if the controller on the side of the seat is gone, you're going to have to directly power the seat motor.

I have a spare controller here I could bring with me.

Would you know which pins then to use?

I would look for the two biggest wires on the harness. Cut them chassis side. +12v on a BMW is usually red or red/white or red/brown. Ground is generally brown.

Looking at seat harnesses on eBay, looks like the X5 is red/brown and brown.

Thanks - good suggestion.

I usually hook up right at the main battery terminals first.

Maybe I've been lucky but that's always worked, except when people steal the fuses but that's an easy fix.
