anyone fixed door locks?
These door locks seem to have a specified life span, mine have all started to act up this past year, the two rear doors now only lock and unlock manually.
With $250 a piece new, has anyone attempted to repair their own locks, or found a more reasonably priced source for locks? |
There are lots of threads about the door locks on this site, you just need to do a search, sometimes google works better.

exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you andrewwynn there's a lot of good stuff with awr-fix title I wasn't aware of. still don't know what awr-fix means other than it means good material. Thanks again. |
Actually the DHC is more like 25¢ fix. The DLA is the $12 motor swap.
Both can be found searching for thread started by me with awr-fix title Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Cars set to auto lock will wear them or faster. I had one fail by 205,000 butt wife had four fail by 180,000.
Garaged cars that go though half as many lock/unlock cycles should last a lot longer. They fail from the brushes wear and I suspect climate will affect that greatly |
