Dear x5chemist thanks , I take it that the land rover part in your note plugs the whole where the existing bit on the x5 fell out, and is in the the form of a grommet type part? and goes straight in for a snug fit and no other changes needed to it? on the but that fell out the X5 on the rear there is some raised solid plastic fins i guess to stop the button from being pressed in to far.....does this land rover part have a raised surface to rear?

okays my questions answered looks pretty similar to x5s and has bmw stamped on item!

Those 2 black bumps are micro switches. A land rover latch cover is cheaper and is almost 100% the same fit...

The replacement works great. I have a spare for later. My review is there too.

Yes and I'm not sure why shipping is so much as it comes in a small padded envelope....

In argument now with a uk seller who is telling me no such part number exists despite even sending them a photo of an officially packaged item with the product inside and part number printed on it...in meantime best deal I got is 18euros inc shipping bit steep for a bit of plastic but hey, my fix seems fine, but may buy it keep to one side in case.....the older car gets harder to source parts.....this is all part of that planned obsolescence tactic, since money accounts men got involved car design has gone down the drain..... don't build em to last

He may be looking at it as a BMW part number NOT a lamb roller part number...

haha think it is a she, but nope the site is a landrover site..anways no worries probably gonna source the lithuanian part

Good luck and you might be able to get parts cheaper in Bahrain and sent via cargo since Gulf Air has 2 direct flights a day to Cyprus and they are many Brits working in the GCC who live there if you know any of them....
