OK, replaced the fan clutch and the fan.. ( Good grief, I accidentally dropped the original cracking one of the blades). Replaced the coolant temp "O" ring. Replaced the coolant level sensor.. the one that came out had a black tube shroud around it, that was brittle as hell and disintegrated in my hand. It looked completely intact so I don't think any of it is floating around the coolant passages, hopefully? No leaks so far..finger's crossed.

Coolant level sensor as mentioned by other posters, is not immersed in the coolant. Hall sensor, so it reads off the ball float in the resrvoir. So no worries it goes into the coolant.

I'd assess that fan, dont want it breaking apart and taking out the rad or drive belt system.

I read that wrong also like he used the broken fan. Second read though i caught that he says he replaced the clutch and the fan.

I am thinking the issue is with the float...when I take the cap off it doesn't always rise to the top? That might be what is causing the false check coolant level message. Interesting, I drove 25 miles last night and... no coolant message???

I replaced the fan.

Thanks,
