This is the side which has most contact with the road so I imagine they need more grooves to displace the water when it gets wet.
I doubt very much you can rotate them, if you look at the grooves in the tyre they are designed to expel the water from the middle towards each edge of the tyre as quickly as possible. If you flip the tyre so it rotates in the opposite direction then you are going against this flow.

guys, i am getting confused now myself. so we have the picture of the tyre. can anyone go outside and check it out please. my winter tyres are not diamaris, otherwise i would have checked myself.
