just got 3 tickets in one stop(long)

I just got pulled over while the cop was giving another guy a ticket. I slowed down for the cop(basically to see what happened) and then continure to speed back up to about 55(in a 40) he then jumps in his car and gets me about .5 miles down the road. Since i have the 4.8 and i have a loud exhaust i feel as though when i sped up it sounded more aggressive and made it seem like i was going faster then i was...so he pulls me over and says"do you have anything to say to me"....i say no....he then proceeds to give me THREE tickets!!!!! 1. for careless driving(because he thought i sped past him, endagering his life). 2. Going to fast around a bend. and 3. speeding he "PACED" me(if any1 knows whut that means...HELP) he said i was going 62 in a 40........meanwhile that 10 points ...and i have a junior lisence...which means it gets taken away...i think he was just trying to intimidate me and made up bullshit charges against me...any1 have advice...?

Busta sez "Get that cop a job in Miami Beach".

Under 18? Clean record? Good grades? Male? (Obviously--you got pounded with THREE tix). It may be worth getting a lawyer and maybe you can mitigate some of the points via traffic school. Is that an option in P.A.?--(my young bride has a traffic school named after her..).

Cops, when angry, are never, ever, wrong, and they feed a lot of money into the city, and judges, who may want to run for mayor one day, are usually in cahoots with the police as far as ticket revenues. I good traffic lawyer (whose law firm may someday donate to the mayoral campaign of the judge who might run for office) can take some of the edges off this, unless you are a total reprobate criminal. And hey, Abercrombie & Fitch--don't swear here, there are impressionable adults listening...:)

A little advice!!

Talk to a lawyer!!! Do a search for traffic ticket lawyers in your area, tell them what happened, and let them battle it out in court. If it's anything like NY, it will cost you about $250 per ticket or less being you got 3, and you may not have to appear in court. The lawyer will give you a better idea of your fighting chances and if nothing could be done you at least tried. Otherwise, you'll pay a large fine and be left without a license!!! JUst my .02 cents!!! Good luck!!!

does anyone think it would help..if i tell the judge i drive 40 minutes each way to school(and i couldn't afford to lose my lisence)....maybe let me go?

fln8tive 04-08-2006 11:52 PM

No. He won't care. No

Judges have heard everything under the sun and they don't care, particularly since you drive a nice car.

Get a good lawyer, don't represent yourself, leave that to folks like Saddam Hussein and Zacarias Moussaoui.

If you were the only breadwinner in a home full of fatherless siblings and a sickly mother, you might have a chance. But as a student. . . sorry, but I think you'll just be taken to school by a judge.

You would do well to at least have a conversation with a good attorney about this.
