Some lights have an extra shutter that does correct this controlled by a little lever below a rubber bung on top of the unit. From what I can find out this is on the LHD units so they can be used in a RHD area. I have one of these (LHD) units with the extra fitting as a spare.

Yes, the LHD units may have these but the RHD units don't (at least US spec ones don't).

Yes we ship to the UK, many of our customers are international.

As far as RHD vs. LHD headlights, you can adjust the beam patteren yourself, very easy, none of our UK customers have had an issue with the headlights, or inspection.

Are there any UK owners on this board who have done this i.e. ship the whole unit from the US? Any experience appreciated.

I shipped a Xenon headlight from the US to the UK but made sure it was ECE spec first (clear corners and the adjustable shutter for LHD/RHD). The angel eyes I got from Baverian Motorwerks who advertise on Ebay.
I installed the angel eyes myself and cleared out the waffles lenses (as per the articles on this site). It was pretty easy to do and saved myself quite a bit doing it this way

So are you saying that when we buy Euroclear headlights from Germany you have the same problem if you're in the US????

Staffop, thanks for that -thats exactly the look I want but have no way of doing it myself as am in Central London. Dont suppose you fancy earning some spare cash?! :)

I don't know anything about these features so please excuse my questions. Where is this shutter located? Inside the Xenon projector? Wouldn't it be easier to have some type of mechanism that rotates the projector a few degrees in either direction?

Don't both headlights require adjustment to convert from LHD to RHD and vice versa? It's kind of lame that the adjuster is on only the LHD lamp.

The shutter is located under a black grommit on top of both the LHD and RHD units of ECE spec headlights only. They do not appear on the US spec ones (either with amber corners or clear corners). Depending upon which side of the road you drive, you just need to adjust one shutter in either the LHD or RHD unit to give the 'kick up' in the beam at the side of the road.
