The evolution of the X5 has been very well done. The E53 still looks like it is a current design and offering from BMW.

Aside from the newest X5's (forget chassis code) I think the e53 is the best looking X5 that BMW has made. Most reliable, no... but best looking, yes.

Taking it even further... the 4.8is is my ultimate will buy now that I am hooked on the e53 chassis. The 4.4i is great, but if 315hp is good... 350 is better. :thumbup: The 2006 4.8is is probably my favorite X5 variant of all those produced yet... excluding some of the M offerings.
