First of all, a great big welcome and thank you for participating in the #1 site for the BMW X5.

Second of all, I'd like to personally thank all those of you who have sent donations to help support this endeavor! A special thank you is in the making!

Jeff and I take great pride in developing something we talked about almost 2 years ago when we first met in person, and now has become reality. And it only exists because of your interest, support, and camaraderie. Thank you for making this real, and welcome to our new home.

Picked my X5 3.0d Sport up on Wednesday and I bought the car without driving one! I waited 8 months for delivery and it is everything I expected it to be.

The first two mods for the 330xi have arrived at the dealer, and I'm waiting on an appointment as my service advisor is away... I also need an appointment at the body shop there, because of the garage incident, and some lady backed into my bumper in a parking lot and drove off just as I got to the car. The two mods, if you can call them that, are PDC and the iPod your BMW adaptor. For some reason the mod bug hasn't bitten me with the 330 the way it did with the X5... I guess it's because I'm closer to the X5 community and I know more about what to do, etc.

Damn, I've had someone try to be me before :mad:, but no one can be me! no one but me! :D

I know, and I appreciate it. The reason I didn't is because when I went through the whole saga with the X5 the cops told me a person couldn't trace another person's plate.

In general that may be true. But if you know the right people.....

No sense taking unnecessary chances, given your recent past. Nonetheless, I never had a problem with mine being displayed (although I changed it when I moved back to Michigan just for something different for a while)

Ya that new one looks mighty nice. It's based on the Cay/Tourareg. I hope I like the next gen X5 or I might have to take a look at the new Audi.

I lived in California when I owned the 5 series. We had guys come to our office in Newport Beach, we'd give them the key, and in a couple of hours the car was hand washed or waxed and it looked awesome! I think the wash ran me $15. Oh those were the days. Don't think I ever cleaned those wheels once myself. :rofl:

I have definitely seen that 3 before in the shopping center, the clear lenses were what I noticed right off the bat. A buddy of mine works at Martin Motorsports, good to have them right down the street, ain't it! Enjoy the blizzard of '05 today, man. My X5 is still at the dealership getting a new door handle so I am still drivin this loaner Grand Prix! Once it comes back home, I'll grab the cybershot and take some pics.

Charlie, Angel, or Matt?? It's great to have them right down the street and it's good to be friends with Gary :thumbup: I'm loving this weather... 70 yesterday, snow today... me in the M3 instead of the X5 :rolleyes: :tsk:

X5 in Death Valley.........
 

my X at Devils golf course, Death Valley.

Step 1 Click on Link in toolbar above called GALLERY
Step 2 Click on UPLOAD button and you will see a simple image options menu
Step 3 Click on browse button which will open a windows explorer style window allowing you to navigate to your image in your computer. NOTE: remember to resize images. Maximum file size is 151kb.
Step 4 Click on upload button and view in your members albums.
Step 5 Click on thumbnail preview of your image to bring up images details
Step 6 Highlight text in BB image code field and copy (CONTROL C)
Step 7 Post message you want image in, then paste (CONTROL V) the BB image code field item.
Step 8 Highllight item you just pasted in then click on INSERT IMAGE button (yellow envelope) above post message field.
Step 9 Click on SUBMIT REPLY

Cut and paste the text you want, then highlight it with your mouse, click on the "Wrap QUOTE tags" icon above, then insert "=" followed by the member name after the first QUOTE. Maybe there's an easier way, but that's how I roll.

No, my headlights are absolutely stock OEM xenons. It was getting dark and I used the flash on my camera so my X might look a little different than normal, but I assure you it is stock on the outside.

It appears that he has sports package which is why it looks a little different and the tail lights are also clear. The amber corners are different on sports package.

These are some nice rides...... is there a thread with pics of all the factory wheels with the name and the sizes? I just purchased an 02 3.0 X5 today and would like to upgrade the wheels..... I'm just getting back in to BMW's and years ago I used to get good deals on wheels at the dealer.... take offs of the new cars where someone upgraded to larger wheels.

Our favorite Everyday wheels --- (wife's daily drive) --- the mod list is LONG (though I have not found time to tinkle with it since last summer. Still have parts lying in the garage waiting to be added.

PS. Notice the pieces of shit in the background. Weren't there when we moved in. Looking for a new place now. This time the neighborhod will have covenants. I actually had to call Seattle DPD to get one of my neighbors broken down, totaled out, blue tarp on it, wreck from their yard. &@$(%&(@#$* Just goes to show you can pick your nose but not your neighbor. That is the green car you see in the near background.

I was all set to post pics of my 02 3.0 with its new 19" staggered 132's.... however when they arrived from lakeshore wheel and tire 3 of the wheels are damaged!!!!

now they want me to email them pics of the wheels..... grrr and I get to deal with their damage and warranty department.......

Unfortunately, it was real. I hadn't had the X5 very long and wasn't used to the comfortable ride at higher speeds. If I remember right it was something like 80-85 in a 65. :driver:
