You have NO idea! I left 5 yrs ago and hate it everytime I go back. Just thinking about it gets me wound up.
Re the dirt problem: As you have found out, it gets everywhere. Commercial carwashes are hit'n'miss. Even if you did the washing, you need to thoroughly rinse out every seam, and even then, there is no garrantee. At this point, I'd suggest high pressure air. If you (or a friend) have a setup for air tools, make sure the line has a moisture trap.You don't want mud at this point. That's my best guess.
