The AFE intake for the X5 uses the hood as the cover, right? I wonder how good the seal is compared to the using an actual cover like the Dinan intake.

What kind of gains, if any, could i get with cold air intake on my 3.0??
Does it sound better? gas milage? Anything?

Let me attach a couple of pics. It's safer this way.

Charles: that's very odd 'cuz I got mine very quickly. I was surprised you haven't gotten yours yet. Oh well....

Krunkman: I doubt you would get any substantial power gain on an SAV this heavy. May be on a 3er but for sure you can hear the growl when stepping on the gas.

I know. Especially since Evosport and where I live is only 1.5 hour drive away. Oh well. Looks great in your Valvetronic 4.4i!

Give it a week or so for your engine ECU to adapt to see if it makes a difference (or see a SES light :) )

Well, when I get my AFE, I'll post the pics as well. Don't you love that Dinan strut bar? :thumbup:
