I would keep it OEM style.

I also think it would look odd given the rest of the car being silver. Get the whole bumper painted. IMO.

Hey, great price! I would keep it OEM color scheme too. Can you let me know how they ship the bumper for $75 when you get it? I have been wanting to ship a bumper to the east coast and the best quote I got was for $200!
|
I've shipped bumpers before. I just wrapped in in some bubble wrap. Then put it in a large box and fill the voids with some cardboard to help it from moving. I'd think no more then $100 including packing. Although I get the cardboard from work for free.

The problem is that the X5 bumper is bigger than the normal size bumper because it includes the front spoiler. So Fed-X and UPS all consider it freight shipping and charges lots of $$$$'s for it.
|
True. I've only shipped car bumper. Maybe the shipping for the front bumper was worked into the buy it now price although the bumper was cheap even without shipping....

Wow what a great deal!!! And yes, you should paint everything silver since it'll look odd leaving out the black part when it's on your Silver X5. It'll also be easier to paint since they won't have to tape out the black part, should cost less from a labor perspective.

I like the contrast. But I am bias too because that's the setup I have. But I think because your flares and other parts are all painted silver, I would do the same with the bumper. Check out my X page for photos:
