looks very nice ~ what model/year was your X before??
also how much did just the parts cost?? |
2001 3.0i Topaz Blue w/Premium Package & PDC, 60k Miles
Body parts cost about 2000 if you get everything new, plus another 1200 or so if you were to get new headlights and then the price of grills (4 hood, 3 bumper) another 200-300, I got the 4.8 bumper for $350 and the Euro Clear Headlights for $460 both off ebay. I only had to buy the hood, fenders, and all grills except one kidney new. My bill at the body shop was 4100, which did not include the bumper or headlights, but did include new door handles which were also painted and they painted my trunk handle. I got 1100 from insurance when the shop installing my new wheels bumped into the wheel balancer and scratched my old front bumper. So I ended up paying them 3000. |
It sure is a great looking end result. Good on ya'!

darn, i had the chance of getting the blue '01 4.4 X5 with 50,000+ miles but I was afraid i would not be able to get extended warranty and i just dread getting it fixed one problem after another since i'm not a very mechanically inclined person.
so i opted for a low mileage Black X5 3.0...if i only knew about X5world then, maybe i could have gotten the blue one... nice ride bostonbluex5...blue is my favorite color |
Looks awesome!
